Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
New Moon in Virgo (22.8°), about 0.1% illuminated. Event taxonomy: no solar/lunar eclipse is exact today in the computed phase scan.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
The same volume can mean different things in two stocks.
gann-tape-reading-foundations: Part 1 of 3
Gann does not read volume as a bare share count. In Truth of the Stock Tape he asks the reader to judge volume against the outstanding capital stock and, more importantly, the floating supply that is actually available to trade. His examples contrast stocks with very different amounts of stock in the market, and the point is that the denominator is part of the question. Put volume, shares outstanding, and an explicitly defined float estimate in three separate columns and divide volume by float. Call the result a turnover ratio. It is not a count of distinct owners, because one share can trade many times in a day, and it cannot identify who was on either side. The useful surprise is that a large headline volume can become a small ratio, and a modest count can become a large one. Before you attach a story such as accumulation or distribution to a volume bar, check what the statistic actually measures. A ratio built on a stale or vendor-guessed float is a different number from one built on a documented float, and the two should not be compared as if they were the same.
Try it
Stock A has an assumed float of 20 million shares. Stock B has 100 million. Each trades one million shares in one day. Compute each turnover ratio. Can either ratio prove distribution?
Answer
A: 1,000,000 / 20,000,000 = 5%. B: 1,000,000 / 100,000,000 = 1%. A turns over five times as much of its float. Neither ratio proves distribution or identifies who traded.
Limits
Gann's floating supply is not the same as a modern vendor float field, which can be stale or uncertain. Turnover is not a unique-owner count and is not evidence of a profitable strategy. Do not carry the equity denominator over to futures contracts without a separate data definition.

🔮 Astrology Lesson
Why fiery Mars belongs to the night team.
astro-ptolemy-reading-toolkit: Part 1 of 3
Ptolemy does not build his day and night teams by grouping similar things together. In Tetrabiblos I.7 he uses two different rules. The Sun and Jupiter belong to the day and the Moon and Venus to the night by resemblance, and Mercury switches with its morning-star or evening-star condition. But for the two planets he calls destructive, the rule flips from resemblance to moderation. Saturn's cold should meet the warmth of day, and Mars's dryness should meet the moisture of night, so that each attains what he calls good proportion. The surprise is not simply that fiery Mars is nocturnal. It is that one classification system uses reinforcement for some members and counterbalance for others. Reconstruct the reasoning rather than memorizing the list: in one column write the quality attributed to the planet, and in the next write the environment meant to temper it. These are categories from an ancient natural philosophy, not measurements of heat or humidity arriving from Mars. The transferable lesson is that a symbol's meaning within a doctrine depends on its context, and a slogan such as Mars always intensifies is not an adequate reading of this passage.
Try it
Draw rows for Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Mars, and Mercury. Using I.7, place each in day, night, or conditional. Circle Saturn and Mars and explain their assignment using the word counterbalance, without any market proxy.
Answer
Day: Sun, Jupiter, Saturn. Night: Moon, Venus, Mars. Mercury: day as a morning star, night as an evening star. Saturn and Mars are placed by counterbalance, the others by resemblance.
Limits
Do not present humoral qualities as modern astronomy. Do not equate this day and night doctrine with exchange session hours without a separate, explicit adaptation. No return effect or preferred trading session is established here.
