- SpaceX/SPCX: SPCX $148.88 (+0.49%) from Nasdaq. Sequential scan found no fresh verified company/regulatory item strong enough to override the stale quote label; use next regular-session trade for confirmation.
- Dividend Leaders (latest 2026-09-14 equity prints): STRC 12.13%, XOM 2.50%, JPM 1.71%, ABBV 2.64%, IBM 2.71%. Screen balances indicated yield, payout durability, liquidity, orderly price action, and macro relevance; selected names remain rate/sector-sensitive, not raw-yield traps.
- Crypto: BTC $77,048 (-0.98% 24h), ETH $2,484 (-1.07%), SOL $100.91 (-0.76%). Repair needs spot demand, ETF/liquidity support, and funding discipline.

- Sequential headline scan buckets: Global selloff in stocks as bond market enters ‘new era’ of risk; Wall St futures slip as rising oil, Treasury yields compound AI anxiety; Don’t Panic About a US Bond Market Selloff. These are catalyst buckets only; price, yields, oil, breadth, and funding decide whether they matter.

Use this as a timing lens and review queue only; price action has the final vote.
- Tight hard-aspect scan: Venus square Pluto (orb 0.2°, separating); Moon square Jupiter (orb 1.8°, separating)
- Secondary timing links: Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 0.0°, applying); Venus square Pluto (orb 0.2°, separating); Sun sextile Mars (orb 0.2°, separating); Moon square Jupiter (orb 1.8°, separating); Mercury trine Uranus (orb 2.2°, separating); Uranus trine Pluto (orb 2.4°, separating). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
Waxing Crescent Moon in Scorpio (14.9°), about 19.4% illuminated. Event taxonomy: no solar/lunar eclipse is exact today in the computed phase scan.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
A dividend check is not the same as a positive return.
In the twelfth trading rule, Gann warns against keeping a stock solely because it continues to pay a dividend. His point is that cash income and preservation of principal are different questions. A payment can arrive while the market value of the holding falls by more than that payment. An explicitly synthetic example makes the distinction concrete. Buy one share for $100, receive $6 in cash during the holding period, and finish with a share worth $82. With no reinvestment, the ending wealth is $88. The simple holding-period return is therefore negative 12 percent, even though the cash received equals 6 percent of the purchase price. There is a second trap. If someone divides the same $6 annual amount by the lower $82 price, the resulting indicated yield is about 7.32 percent. That larger percentage can arise entirely from a falling denominator. It does not establish that the company raised its payment or became safer. Keep a cash-payment record beside the price record, and distinguish cash already received from an annual amount merely indicated. That separation prevents an attractive yield label from concealing a capital loss.
Try it
Synthetic case: entry $100, ending price $82, cash received $6, no reinvestment. Compute holding-period return and the yield of an unchanged $6 annual amount at $82.
Answer
Holding-period return = (82 + 6 - 100) / 100 = -12%. Indicated yield = 6 / 82 = about 7.32%. The second figure is not the holding-period return.
Limits
Ignoring taxes, fees, reinvestment, and payment timing simplifies the example. Gann’s preference for trading profits does not prove that dividend investing is inferior.

🔮 Astrology Lesson
Benefic and malefic start as elemental quality buckets.
In Tetrabiblos I.5, Ptolemy does not introduce benefic and malefic planets as a simple good-news and bad-news switch. He first describes four qualities: hot and moist as fertile and active, dry and cold as destructive and passive. Jupiter and Venus, with the Moon, are accepted as beneficent because their temperaments are linked to hot and moist; Saturn and Mars are linked to the opposite qualities. That origin matters for market translation. A label such as benefic is a historical quality bucket, not a promised green candle. If you borrow the language for a desk note, map the quality to a proxy: liquidity, growth appetite, inflation pressure, stress, volatility, or funding. Then ask whether the proxy is actually visible. For example, a Venus or Jupiter emphasis might prompt an appetite and liquidity check, while a Mars or Saturn emphasis might prompt an energy, volatility, or rates check. The old label only starts the classification. It does not answer what price, spreads, or participation are doing today.
Try it
Pick Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, or Mars. Write its traditional quality bucket from the passage, one market proxy you would inspect, and one observation that would make the proxy absent rather than active.
Answer
Example: Saturn belongs to the cold/dry side, so a desk might inspect rates, credit spreads, or volatility. If those proxies are flat while price holds structure, the Saturn label remains inactive background in the market note.
Limits
This is a reading exercise from a historical cosmology. The hot, moist, cold, and dry vocabulary is not a tested financial factor model, and the proxy mapping is modern interpretation.
