Use this as a timing lens and review queue only; price action has the final vote.
- Tight hard-aspect scan: Moon square Mercury (orb 0.7°, separating); Sun opposition Saturn (orb 1.0°, separating); Mars opposition Pluto (orb 1.2°, separating); Moon square Venus (orb 1.3°, separating)
- Secondary timing links: Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 0.4°, separating); Moon square Mercury (orb 0.7°, separating); Sun opposition Saturn (orb 1.0°, separating); Mars sextile Uranus (orb 1.2°, applying); Mars opposition Pluto (orb 1.2°, separating); Moon square Venus (orb 1.3°, separating). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
Waning Crescent Moon in Leo (7.1°), about 29.0% illuminated. Event taxonomy: no solar/lunar eclipse is exact today in the computed phase scan.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
Repeated reversals create a trading-cost hurdle.
In the section on failure to follow rules, Gann links frequent changes of position to taxes, interest, and commission. This is a concrete channel through which reacting to every small move can damage results. The cost does not depend on whether the next directional opinion sounds convincing; it is incurred by the trading activity. Use an explicitly synthetic cost model rather than a claim about any broker. Suppose each completed round trip uses $10,000 notional and incurs $10 of total friction. Twenty round trips then cost $200. If the trades produce $150 of gross profit in total, the account finishes with a $50 net loss. The missing quantity in a gross-profit story is the cumulative hurdle paid to obtain it. The same worksheet can separate commission, spread, slippage, and financing instead of combining them. Do not charge a round-trip assumption again for each leg, and do not infer that zero advertised commission means zero friction. Compare gross results and net results under the same trades and dates. This teaches a different lesson from simply trading less: a change of position needs enough expected benefit to justify its added cost.
Try it
Synthetic model: twenty round trips each incur $10 total cost and together earn $150 before costs. Find total cost and net profit or loss.
Answer
Total cost is 20 × $10 = $200. Net result is $150 - $200 = a $50 loss.
Limits
The $10 cost is assumed, not a current broker quote. Taxes and financing depend on the account and instrument. The example establishes arithmetic, not an optimal trading frequency.

Using the latest two completed SPY daily closes (2026-10-01 and 2026-10-02), the one-share gross change is +5.65; after an editorial 10 bp round-trip friction assumption, the net scenario is +4.89. This is latest-session arithmetic, not a broker fee or trade recommendation. 🔮 Astrology Lesson
Total brightness and brightness per sky area are different measurements.
Calculated astronomy: Horizons quantity 9 separates apparent visual magnitude from surface brightness. The latter is the average airless visual magnitude per square arcsecond of the illuminated apparent disk. One describes the integrated target; the other accounts for the angular area over which its light is spread. The manual writes surface brightness as V plus 2.5 times the base-ten logarithm of illuminated angular area, with that area represented by its disk-model factors. In a simple teaching case, let integrated magnitude V be zero and illuminated area be 100 square arcseconds. The correction is 2.5 times log10(100), or five. Surface brightness is therefore five magnitudes per square arcsecond. The area is the illuminated area, not automatically the entire disk. This distinction explains why a magnitude column and a surface-brightness column need different unit labels even when both contain magnitude-like numbers. It also supplies a spreadsheet check: using a diameter in arcseconds where the formula expects an area in square arcseconds is a dimensional error. Preserve the model's limits rather than interpreting every decimal as an exact observation.
Try it
Use the stated formula for V = 0 and illuminated area = 100 square arcseconds. What is surface brightness, and why is inserting diameter instead of area wrong?
Answer
0 + 2.5*log10(100) = 5 magnitudes per square arcsecond. Diameter is a length on the sky; the formula requires illuminated angular area.
Limits
Horizons magnitudes are model estimates with object-specific limits. This exercise does not model atmospheric extinction or establish any connection between planetary brightness and markets.
