- Tight hard-aspect scan: Moon opposition Neptune (orb 1.0°, separating); Venus square Mars (orb 1.2°, applying); Mercury conjunction Venus (orb 3.3°, separating); Mars opposition Pluto (orb 3.5°, separating)
- Secondary timing links: Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 0.5°, separating); Moon opposition Neptune (orb 1.0°, separating); Mars sextile Uranus (orb 1.2°, separating); Venus square Mars (orb 1.2°, applying); Moon trine Pluto (orb 1.5°, separating); Uranus trine Pluto (orb 2.3°, applying). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
New Moon in Libra (1.6°), about 1.6% illuminated. Event taxonomy: no solar/lunar eclipse is exact today in the computed phase scan.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
Intraday counts must identify the session that owns the clock.
Five-minute bars share a duration, but not necessarily a normal level of activity. Andersen and Bollerslev's intraday study shows why that matters. Their historical foreign-exchange and equity-index samples contain strong time-of-day patterns in volatility. A repeated burst around an opening session may therefore describe the trading schedule rather than an independent countdown from a pivot. Build separate records for regular trading and overnight trading. Within each record, compare like clock-time intervals. A simple teaching statistic divides today's absolute interval return by the mean absolute return at that same interval on earlier comparable sessions. This ratio is an editorial diagnostic, not the authors' fitted model. Suppose an opening interval moves 0.30 percent against a usual 0.25 percent, while a midday interval moves 0.15 percent against a usual 0.05 percent. The opening move is larger in raw terms. Relative to its own baseline, however, midday is more unusual. Neither ratio establishes direction. Specify the exchange timezone and daylight-saving treatment before matching intervals, and do not merge a shortened holiday session with a full trading day.
Try it
Synthetic intervals: opening absolute return 0.30%, opening baseline 0.25%; midday absolute return 0.15%, midday baseline 0.05%. Compute both ratios and identify the more unusual relative move.
Answer
Opening ratio = 0.30/0.25 = 1.2. Midday ratio = 0.15/0.05 = 3.0. Midday is larger relative to its own baseline, despite the smaller raw return.
Limits
A mean absolute-return ratio is not a significance test or a forecast. Intraday samples can contain stale prints, missing bars, and changing microstructure. The source studies historical DM/USD and S&P futures, not modern SPY or crypto.

Today
The latest completed SPY regular session's 12:00–12:05 ET move was 0.25 times its 10-session same-clock baseline, so the interval was below normal relative activity rather than a standalone direction signal. 🔮 Astrology Lesson
Right-ascension contacts are a separate equatorial-axis test.
Right ascension measures eastward along the celestial equator. Ecliptic longitude measures along the ecliptic. Horizons defines the two separately, so an equality of right ascension is not automatically a conjunction in zodiac longitude. The coordinate choice changes the event being tested. Right ascension can be printed in hours or degrees. A full circle contains 24 hours of right ascension, so one hour corresponds to 15 degrees. Wraparound also matters. Two hypothetical bodies at 23 hours 58 minutes and 0 hours 2 minutes are four minutes of right ascension apart across zero, equivalent to one degree. Subtracting the printed hours without wrapping would suggest almost a full circle. Even exact equality of right ascension does not establish zero sky separation. If the declinations are plus 10 and minus 10 degrees, the bodies remain 20 degrees apart on the same meridian. Keep declination alongside the right-ascension result. A two-column coordinate table makes this distinction visible before anyone labels the contact as a conjunction.
Try it
Find the shorter right-ascension gap between 23h58m and 0h02m in minutes and degrees. At equal right ascension, how far apart are declinations +10 and -10 degrees?
Answer
The wrapped gap is 4 minutes of right ascension, or 1 degree. The equal-right-ascension pair with the supplied declinations is 20 degrees apart on the sky.
Limits
These are invented teaching coordinates. A right-ascension contact is a defined astronomical measurement, not evidence of astrological or financial causation.
