🪐 Planetary Aspects

Use this as a timing lens and review queue only; price action has the final vote.
- Tight hard-aspect scan: Venus square Mars (orb 0.4°, separating); Sun conjunction Moon (orb 2.4°, separating); Moon opposition Saturn (orb 3.9°, separating)
- Secondary timing links: Venus square Mars (orb 0.4°, separating); Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 0.5°, separating); Mars sextile Uranus (orb 1.8°, separating); Uranus trine Pluto (orb 2.3°, applying); Sun conjunction Moon (orb 2.4°, separating); Moon opposition Saturn (orb 3.9°, separating). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
New Moon in Libra (14.8°), about 0.0% illuminated. Event taxonomy: no solar/lunar eclipse is exact today in the computed phase scan.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
Cycle claims need a sample-size grade beside the chart.
MacKinlay's analysis of event-study power asks how reliably a study can detect a nonzero effect. Its answer depends on the effect's size, noise, and sample size. A visually striking return is not enough to assign a strong evidence grade. The article's earnings illustration uses 1989-1993 data, but its power calculations describe hypothetical statistical alternatives rather than a newly observed trading edge. For an editorial timing scorecard, report the number of independent opportunities beside the average response. Suppose each event has a return standard deviation of 2 percentage points and the events are independent. The standard error of the mean is 2 divided by the square root of the event count. With 4 events it is 1 percentage point; with 100 it is 0.2 percentage points. The same 0.5-point average looks very different against those two uncertainties. Use exploratory or provisional as descriptive labels with stated criteria, not official Gann categories. Do not upgrade a claim to established merely because it crosses a round count. Many assets reacting to the same announcement can represent one shared shock, and overlapping windows can repeat the same observations.
Try it
Synthetic independent events have standard deviation 2 percentage points and mean 0.5 percentage points. For N=4 and N=100, compute standard error and mean divided by standard error. Does this establish an investable edge?
Answer
For N=4, standard error = 2/sqrt(4) = 1 percentage point; the ratio is 0.5. For N=100, standard error = 0.2 percentage points; the ratio is 2.5. No. These conditional calculations do not address dependence, model choice, multiple testing, costs, or future performance.
Limits
The square-root calculation assumes independent, equal-variance events and a known illustrative standard deviation. A t-test with estimated variance has additional requirements. There is no universal sample count at which a cycle becomes established.

🔮 Astrology Lesson
Eclipse eligibility needs the draconic node clock, not just a phase label.
The draconic month is the Moon's node clock. NASA defines it as one revolution of the Moon with respect to the ascending node, with a mean length of 27.21222 days. That is not the same question as phase recurrence. A node clock asks when the Moon returns to the crossing line of its tilted orbit and the ecliptic. This boundary matters because eclipse language requires node proximity. A New Moon can happen every synodic month, but most New Moons are not solar eclipses because the Moon is not close enough to a node. If a market note labels every New Moon as eclipse pressure, it has mixed the phase clock with the node clock. Use the draconic clock for eclipse eligibility and node-season review. Use the synodic clock for phase recurrence. When both are relevant, write both dates on the same chart and let the actual Moon geometry decide whether the word eclipse belongs in the brief. The label should follow the measured clock, not the narrative.
Try it
Subtract the draconic month 27.21222 days from the sidereal month 27.32166 days, then convert the difference to hours.
Answer
27.32166 - 27.21222 = 0.10944 days. Multiplying by 24 gives about 2.62656 hours, matching NASA’s 2h 36m 36s statement.
Limits
Mean month lengths are not a complete eclipse calculation. Actual eclipse eligibility needs the dated Sun-Moon-node geometry. A node clock is a classification aid, not a market direction signal.
