- Energy: WTI (latest 2026-10-23 print) $103.27 (+3.82%). Treat OPEC/inventory/geopolitical headlines as context until WTI/Brent range expansion and next-session acceptance confirm.
- SpaceX/SPCX: SPCX (latest 2026-10-22 print) $147.49 (+1.89%) from Nasdaq. Its October 20 Q3 filing reported $14.6 billion in revenue, up 161% year over year. The quote is a prior-session print; look for next regular-session confirmation.
- Dividend Leaders (latest 2026-10-23 equity prints): STRC 12.08%, XOM 2.25%, JPM 1.99%, ABBV 2.42%, IBM 2.67%. Screen balances indicated yield, payout durability, liquidity, orderly price action, and macro relevance; selected names remain rate/sector-sensitive, not raw-yield traps. STRC's $12.00 annualized distribution (StockAnalysis) makes the income case sensitive to rates and price. No separately verified new company-specific development was established for these names in this scan.
- Crypto: BTC $80,595 (-1.16% 24h), ETH $2,368 (-1.04%), SOL $101.53 (-2.32%). Repair needs spot demand, ETF/liquidity support, and funding discipline.
- AI/risk: NVDA (latest 2026-10-23 print) $210.96 (-0.59%); if AI lifts while equal-weight breadth lags, call it concentration, not broad risk-on.

🪐 Planetary Aspects
| Timing window | Exact/nearest UTC | Orb | Score | Inspection window |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sun square Pluto | 2026-10-26T12:11:46Z | 2.02° applying | 0.327 | 2026-10-24–2026-10-26 |
Use this as a timing lens and review queue only; price action has the final vote.
- Tight hard-aspect scan: Sun conjunction Venus (orb 0.5°, separating); Moon conjunction Saturn (orb 1.1°, separating); Sun square Pluto (orb 2.0°, applying); Mercury square Jupiter (orb 2.4°, separating)
- Secondary timing links: Sun conjunction Venus (orb 0.5°, separating); Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 0.8°, separating); Moon conjunction Saturn (orb 1.1°, separating); Uranus trine Pluto (orb 1.9°, applying); Sun square Pluto (orb 2.0°, applying); Mercury square Jupiter (orb 2.4°, separating). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
Full Moon in Aries (8.7°), about 96.2% illuminated. Event taxonomy: no solar/lunar eclipse is exact today in the computed phase scan.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
A timing date can change dispersion without moving the average.
MacKinlay distinguishes two null questions in event studies. A strict no-impact null can be violated by a change in mean return or in variance. If the research question concerns only average return, the test must allow variance to change rather than silently counting every volatility burst as directional evidence. This distinction is useful for a Gann-style inspection window, where a calendar mark may prompt attention even when the net return of a group is near zero. It is a research classification, not a claim that the mark generated a move. Consider four synthetic residuals around an inspected event: +4%, -4%, +3%, and -3%. Their average is zero, but the mean squared deviation from zero is 12.5 squared percentage points. Four quieter comparison residuals of +1%, -1%, +1%, and -1% also average zero, with variance 1 squared point. The observed variance ratio is 12.5 while the mean difference is zero. Describe this toy result as greater dispersion, not a bullish or bearish response. Predefine the assets, baseline period, and variance estimator before grading a real window. With only four observations, a ratio is an illustration rather than a significance test.
Try it
Event residuals are +4%, -4%, +3%, -3%; baseline residuals are +1%, -1%, +1%, -1%. Using population mean-squared deviation, classify the mean shift and compute the event-to-baseline variance ratio.
Answer
Both means are 0. Event variance = (16+16+9+9)/4 = 12.5 squared percentage points; baseline variance = (1+1+1+1)/4 = 1. The ratio is 12.5. Classification: higher dispersion without a directional mean shift in this synthetic example.
Limits
The groups are deliberately paired synthetic values and cannot support an inferential claim. Different window lengths or volatility regimes can change variance without any Gann effect. MacKinlay notes that a mean-only test needs a different variance treatment.

🔮 Astrology Lesson
A trine group can have different day and night governors.
astro-ptolemy-seasonal-layers: Part 2 of 3
Ptolemy makes four triangles by taking every fourth sign. Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius form one; Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn another; Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius a third; Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces the fourth. Each triangle spans three signs separated by 120 degrees, but membership is not yet a complete reading. In the Gemini-Libra-Aquarius triangle, he names Saturn for day and Mercury for night. For 15 degrees Libra, or 195 degrees from zero Aries, the triangle stays the same while its governor changes when the day/night condition changes. Do not replace that condition with a modern story about Saturn representing a sector or Mercury representing a ticker. This part adds an assignment rule to the preceding part's seasonal sign positions: a sign can have both a positional class and membership in a triangle. If a historical chart has no reliable local time and location, the day/night ruler is unresolved even when its longitude is exact. Record the missing condition rather than selecting the ruler that best fits subsequent price action.
Try it
Classify a hypothetical body at 195 degrees ecliptic longitude by sign and Ptolemaic triangle. Give the two rulers for day and night.
Answer
195 degrees minus 180 degrees gives 15 degrees Libra. Libra is in the Gemini-Libra-Aquarius triangle. Book I.18 assigns Saturn by day and Mercury by night.
Limits
Ptolemy's triangle assignments express ancient cosmology, not observed equity-factor exposures. A chart with an unknown local day/night condition cannot receive a definite ruler from this rule.
