- SpaceX/SPCX: SPCX (latest 2026-10-22 print) $147.49 (+1.89%) from Nasdaq. Its October 20 Q3 filing reported $14.6 billion in revenue, up 161% year over year. This is a prior-session print; look for Monday regular-session confirmation.
- Dividend Leaders (latest 2026-10-23 equity prints): STRC 12.08%, XOM 2.25%, JPM 1.99%, ABBV 2.42%, IBM 2.67%. Screen balances indicated yield, payout durability, liquidity, orderly price action, and macro relevance; selected names remain rate/sector-sensitive, not raw-yield traps. STRC's $12.00 annualized distribution (StockAnalysis) makes the income case sensitive to rates and price. No separately verified new company-specific development was established for these names in this scan.
- Crypto: BTC $80,323 (-0.36% 24h), ETH $2,329 (-1.70%), SOL $100.83 (-0.77%). Repair needs spot demand, ETF/liquidity support, and funding discipline.
- AI/risk: NVDA (latest 2026-10-23 print) $210.96 (-0.59%); if AI lifts while equal-weight breadth lags, call it concentration, not broad risk-on.
- Sequential headline scan buckets: S&P 500 Forecast: SPX rises after cooler-than-expected inflation data; US Fed expected to hold rates as inflation, energy costs weigh ahead of midterms; President Donald Trump Just Proclaimed, "Tariffs Don't Cause Inflation, They Cause Wealth," but Data From Federal Reserve Economists Show Otherwise. These are catalyst buckets only; price, yields, oil, breadth, and funding decide whether they matter.
📐 Gann Seasonal Dates
No exact active Gann seasonal date today; next future checkpoint: Nov 7-8 mid-season on 2026-11-07 (13 days away).
Dates checked: cardinal and mid-season checkpoints. No date gets promoted without price confirmation.
🪐 Planetary Aspects

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sun square Pluto | 2026-10-26T12:11:46Z | 1.04° applying | 0.653 | 2026-10-25–2026-10-27 |
Use this as a timing lens and review queue only; price action has the final vote.
- Tight hard-aspect scan: Sun square Pluto (orb 1.0°, applying); Sun conjunction Venus (orb 2.1°, separating); Mercury square Jupiter (orb 2.6°, separating)
- Secondary timing links: Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 0.9°, separating); Moon trine Jupiter (orb 0.9°, separating); Sun square Pluto (orb 1.0°, applying); Uranus trine Pluto (orb 1.8°, applying); Sun conjunction Venus (orb 2.1°, separating); Mercury square Jupiter (orb 2.6°, separating). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
Waxing gibbous Moon in Aries (22.6°), about 99.3% illuminated. The USNO phase schedule places the Full Moon on October 26 at 04:12 UTC; no eclipse is exact today.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
A timing test loses resolution when daily returns become monthly returns.
A Gann-style inspection date is a dated hypothesis. Before testing it, decide whether the observation is a daily close, a weekly close, or a monthly close. These are not interchangeable measurements of a one-day response. MacKinlay's event-study discussion illustrates how coarser sampling can sharply reduce the power to detect a fixed abnormal return. In his Figure 4 example of a 1% effect, 50 securities, and a 5% test, reported power is 0.94 with daily observations, 0.35 with weekly observations, and 0.12 with monthly observations. Power is the probability of rejecting the no-effect hypothesis when that modeled effect really exists, not the probability that a particular date causes a turn. In a synthetic timing audit, freeze an event date before seeing returns, use the same sampled assets, and write down the observation clock. A monthly bar that ends positive does not reveal whether a one-day reaction appeared at the inspection date, arrived late, or reversed before month-end. Switching to daily data after seeing a dramatic candle also changes the test after the fact. The methodological lesson is to choose resolution in advance and compare like with like when judging missed or apparent hits. MacKinlay's figures quantify a specific study design, not a Gann calendar edge.
Try it
In MacKinlay's Figure 4 example, power is 0.94 for daily, 0.35 for weekly, and 0.12 for monthly observations at 50 securities. Calculate the daily-minus-monthly power difference in percentage points and the daily-to-monthly power ratio. Does either number prove a timing date works?
Answer
0.94 - 0.12 = 0.82, or 82 percentage points; 0.94 / 0.12 = 7.83 approximately. Neither proves a timing date works. Both compare sensitivity of the modeled test under different sampling intervals and its stated assumptions.
Limits
Figure 4 models a 1% abnormal return, 50 securities, and a 5% test; its power values cannot be transplanted to BTC, futures, or a selected Gann date without a fresh design. Finer bars also introduce microstructure and multiple-testing choices. This example measures detectability, not expected profit or direction.

🔮 Astrology Lesson
The quarter clock uses a syzygy before the seasonal boundary.
astro-ptolemy-seasonal-layers: Part 3 of 3
In Book II, Ptolemy declines to make one equinox or solstice the universal start of the year. For seasonal investigation he takes all four points, then asks for the new or full moon that most nearly precedes each. Book II.12 makes the nesting clearer: quarter-scale inquiry uses a syzygy before the seasonal point; month-scale inquiry follows later new or full moons; shorter inquiries add the half moons and other configurations. The rule is about which observation belongs to which time scale. Suppose an illustrative solstice falls June 20 at 09:00 UTC, with a new moon May 30 at 00:00 and a full moon June 14 at 18:00. For the quarter anchor choose June 14, the closer preceding syzygy. Do not use the first phase after the solstice, and do not retroactively exchange a monthly check for the quarter anchor. A market translation would record the source of each actual phase timestamp and keep separate quarter and month labels. The historical weather procedure does not establish a trading calendar.
Try it
For an illustrative June 20, 09:00 UTC solstice, the preceding new moon is May 30, 00:00 and full moon is June 14, 18:00. Which syzygy anchors the quarter under Book II.10?
Answer
The June 14, 18:00 full moon is the nearest syzygy before June 20, 09:00. The May 30 new moon is earlier. These timestamps are a hypothetical classification exercise, not 2026 ephemeris data.
Limits
Ptolemy wrote about weather and seasonal conditions. The invented dates illustrate only his selection rule; they cannot be cited as lunar events or used to infer that the selected phase moves any asset.
