📰 Financial News
- Strategy STRC dividend filing: Strategy’s October 15 filing set a 12.00% annual rate on $100 stated value for November record dates, or $12.00 annualized; its October 29 SEC filing confirmed stockholder approval of daily dividends starting November 1. At the latest STRC share print the indicated forward yield is price-dependent, not a guarantee. October 29 issuer update.
- October 28 FOMC statement: The October 28 FOMC decision and October 29 GDP/PCE releases are dated policy and inflation context. Today’s ISM manufacturing and construction releases start the November 2–6 data week; test rates and dollar moves against price and breadth.
- Equity/rates: S&P cash (latest 2026-10-30 print) 7,580.07 (-1.82%); ES futures 7,647.50 (+0.44%). The live confirmation gate is first-hour breadth plus 10Y (latest 2026-10-30 print) 4.929% and DXY 101.661.
- Metals: gold $3,915.10 (+0.42%) and silver $50.30 (+2.07%). Tie any breakout/fade to real yields, the dollar, inflation/geopolitics, and silver's industrial-growth confirmation.
- Energy: WTI $99.87 (-4.08%). Treat OPEC/inventory/geopolitical headlines as context until WTI/Brent range expansion and next-session acceptance confirm.
- SpaceX/SPCX: SPCX $137.00 (+1.69%) in Nasdaq premarket trading. Its October 20 Q3 filing reported $14.6 billion revenue, up 161% year over year. Confirm with regular-session price action.

Screen balances indicated yield, payout durability, liquidity, orderly price action, and macro relevance; selected names remain rate/sector-sensitive, not raw-yield traps. STRC's $12.00 annualized distribution (Strategy October 15 SEC filing) makes the income case sensitive to rates and price. Beyond STRC’s daily-dividend update, no separately verified fresh company-specific development was established for the other selected dividend names.
- Crypto: BTC $77,944 (+0.31% 24h), ETH $2,290 (+1.43%), SOL $94.41 (-0.13%). Repair needs spot demand, ETF/liquidity support, and funding discipline.
- AI/risk: NVDA (latest 2026-10-30 print) $204.64 (-4.22%); if AI lifts while equal-weight breadth lags, call it concentration, not broad risk-on.

- Tight hard-aspect scan: Moon conjunction Mars (orb 0.8°, applying)
- Secondary timing links: Moon conjunction Mars (orb 0.8°, applying); Venus sextile Jupiter (orb 1.0°, applying); Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 1.1°, separating); Uranus trine Pluto (orb 1.5°, applying). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.

🌙 Moon Phase
Last Quarter Moon in Leo (18.6°), about 42.6% illuminated.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
Count positive event responses before leaning on an average.
A timing-date study often begins with an average return around a predeclared window. MacKinlay describes another question: what fraction of abnormal returns have a positive sign? His sign test considers positive versus negative outcomes rather than letting a single large magnitude dominate the tally. Under its stated null, the expected positive fraction is one half, and returns are independent across securities. Those are assumptions to test, not properties of an arbitrary group of charts. For an editorial Gann-date example, suppose ten separately selected event observations yield seven positive abnormal returns. The observed fraction is 0.70. Relative to a one-half null, MacKinlay's asymptotic statistic is (0.70 − 0.50) times the square root of 10, divided by 0.50, or approximately 1.265. That calculation describes the toy count; it does not establish a timing effect or a reliable probability from only ten cases. Compare it with the mean abnormal return under the same date rule. If the mean is positive but the sign tally is mostly negative, identify the outliers instead of declaring broad confirmation. Keep the selection window, benchmark and eligible observations fixed before counting.
Try it
In a synthetic sample of 10 independent event observations, seven abnormal returns are positive. Calculate the positive fraction and the illustrative sign statistic (p̂ − 0.5)√N/0.5. What would the statistic be for eight positives?
Answer
Seven positives give 7/10 = 0.70 and (0.70 − 0.50)√10/0.50 ≈ 1.265. Eight give 0.80 and (0.80 − 0.50)√10/0.50 ≈ 1.897. Neither synthetic count by itself establishes a Gann effect.
Limits
MacKinlay warns that the sign test assumes independent observations and a one-half positive base rate. Skewed daily abnormal returns can undermine its specification. Shared dates and correlated assets can violate independence; this example is not a market forecast.

🔮 Astrology Lesson
A longitude station is not a full stop in the sky.
A planetary station is often drawn as a dot where its zodiac longitude stops changing. But a one-dimensional pause is not a full stop in the sky. JPL Horizons separates observer-centered apparent ecliptic longitude and latitude (quantity 31) from total apparent plane-of-sky angular motion (quantity 47). The latter has a magnitude in arcseconds per minute and a position angle; longitude and latitude are in degrees. To classify a candidate station, take the same planet at two UTC timestamps a day apart. Compute the shortest signed change in longitude, with wraparound at 360 degrees. A near-zero change says only that the longitude component is small over that interval. Compare the latitude readings and Horizons' total sky-motion rate at the later timestamp. If latitude changes or sky motion is nonzero, the planet remains in apparent motion. A stationary longitude can coexist with a moving image. This distinction matters when a chart calls an exact station a timing mark. Declare the coordinate, observer, threshold, sampling interval, and ephemeris before looking at price. Do not replace longitude motion with total motion midway through an audit: they answer different questions. Even a valid station timestamp is only a time marker for subsequent market measurement, not a directional price signal.
Try it
Hypothetical Earth-centered apparent ecliptic readings, one UTC day apart: longitude 210.00° then 210.00°, latitude +1.00° then +1.20°. Compute the sampled longitude change, latitude change, and approximate latitude-only angular speed in arcseconds per minute. Is the image motionless?
Answer
Longitude change = 0.00°/day; latitude change = +0.20°/day. The latitude-only mean speed is 0.20 × 3600 / 1440 = 0.50 arcsec/min. No. The sampled longitude is flat but latitude changes; two samples do not establish the instant of an exact station.
Limits
A one-day difference can miss a reversal within the day; refine samples before estimating an instant. JPL’s instantaneous plane-of-sky rate is not identical to a finite-difference ecliptic rate. Apparent positions depend on observer and ephemeris. Coincidence with a BTC return does not establish cause, price direction, or an edge.
