📰 Financial News
- Strategy STRC dividend filing: Strategy’s October 15 filing set a 12.00% annual rate on $100 stated value for November daily record dates, or $12.00 annualized; its October 29 SEC filing confirmed stockholder approval. At the timestamped STRC share print the indicated forward yield is price-dependent, not a guarantee. October 29 issuer update.
- October 28 FOMC statement: The October 28 FOMC decision and October 29 GDP/PCE releases remain dated policy and inflation context. Today’s JOLTS and factory-orders releases precede Friday payrolls; test rates and dollar moves against price and breadth.
- Equity/rates: S&P cash (latest 2026-11-02 print) 7,541.40 (-0.51%); ES futures 7,564.00 (-0.14%). The live confirmation gate is first-hour breadth plus 10Y (latest 2026-11-02 print) 4.894% and DXY 101.863.
- Metals: gold $3,919.60 (-1.26%) and silver $49.06 (-3.59%). Tie any breakout/fade to real yields, the dollar, inflation/geopolitics, and silver's industrial-growth confirmation.
- Energy: WTI $98.08 (+1.68%). Treat OPEC/inventory/geopolitical headlines as context until WTI/Brent range expansion and next-session acceptance confirm.
- SpaceX/SPCX: SPCX $137.28 (+0.67%) from Nasdaq. Its October 20 Q3 filing reported $14.6 billion revenue, up 161% year over year. This is dated context; confirm against the timestamped share quote.
- Dividend Leaders (latest 2026-11-02 equity prints): STRC 12.09%, XOM 2.38%, JPM 1.94%, ABBV 2.52%, IBM 2.68%. Screen balances indicated yield, payout durability, liquidity, orderly price action, and macro relevance; selected names remain rate/sector-sensitive, not raw-yield traps. STRC's $12.00 annualized distribution (Strategy October 15 SEC filing) makes the income case sensitive to rates and price. Beyond STRC’s dated daily-dividend update, no separately verified fresh company-specific development was established for the other selected dividend names in this scan.
- Crypto: BTC $77,319 (-0.78% 24h), ETH $2,280 (-0.45%), SOL $93.10 (-1.28%). Repair needs spot demand, ETF/liquidity support, and funding discipline.
- AI/risk: NVDA (latest 2026-11-02 print) $202.06 (-1.26%); if AI lifts while equal-weight breadth lags, call it concentration, not broad risk-on.

Use this as a timing lens and review queue only; price action has the final vote.
- Tight hard-aspect scan: Moon square Uranus (orb 2.3°, applying); Sun conjunction Mercury (orb 2.5°, applying)
- Secondary timing links: Venus sextile Jupiter (orb 0.5°, applying); Neptune sextile Pluto (orb 1.1°, separating); Uranus trine Pluto (orb 1.4°, applying); Moon square Uranus (orb 2.3°, applying); Sun conjunction Mercury (orb 2.5°, applying). Treat these as inspection windows, not certainty claims.
- Retrograde check: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Read retrogrades as review/back-test cycles for existing stories, not automatic reversal calls.
Use aspects as timing lenses, not certainty claims. Price/liquidity decide.
🌙 Moon Phase
Waning Crescent Moon in Virgo (2.3°), about 31.9% illuminated.
Pop-astro version: The mood wants clean proof after the headline burst: less story-chasing, more follow-through.
Market version: Use the Moon line as an execution audit: first reactions need VWAP/opening-range/funding confirmation before they become structure.
🧠 Gann Lesson
A shared timing date can carry different exposures across stocks.
MacKinlay's event-study discussion distinguishes an average abnormal return from the way returns vary with characteristics of each event observation. A cross-sectional model places the abnormal return on one side and pre-event characteristics on the other. For a seasonal inspection date, that suggests a narrower question than 'Did the date work?': did a prespecified exposure category help explain which stocks moved? First define the universe, the same observation window, the baseline return model, and an exposure label measured before the date. Keep a common event clock and use abnormal returns rather than raw price changes. In an editorial worksheet, four low-exposure names have abnormal returns of 1, 2, 0, and 1 percentage points; four high-exposure names have 3, 2, 4, and 3 points. Their group averages are 1 and 3 points. With a zero-one exposure indicator, the simple two-group regression intercept is 1 point and its exposure coefficient is 2 points. That coefficient describes the observed between-group gap, not a seasonal effect. The exposure might track sector, size, rate sensitivity, or another pre-existing condition. Check whether a single stock dominates the gap and whether overlapping event dates create correlated observations. Freeze the grouping and model before inspecting the window; otherwise the strongest-looking split is a search result, not a test.
Try it
On one hypothetical Gann inspection date, four low-exposure stocks have abnormal returns of 1, 2, 0, and 1 percentage points. Four high-exposure stocks have 3, 2, 4, and 3. For a regression with a zero-one high-exposure indicator, find the intercept and exposure coefficient. What does the coefficient describe?
Answer
The low group averages (1+2+0+1)/4 = 1 percentage point; the high group averages (3+2+4+3)/4 = 3 points. The intercept is 1 point and the indicator coefficient is 3 - 1 = 2 points. It is an observed group gap, not evidence that the date caused it.
Limits
Eight synthetic observations do not support a significance claim. Confounding characteristics, correlated names, an unstable baseline model, and a group chosen after seeing prices can all distort the slope. MacKinlay discusses economic events, not tested Gann dates; this worksheet is an editorial transfer of the method.

🔮 Astrology Lesson
A sky-position uncertainty has a long axis and a short axis.
JPL Horizons observer quantity 37 describes a formal position-uncertainty region in the plane perpendicular to the observer's line of sight. It reports the three-sigma ellipse's semi-major axis SMAA_3sig and semi-minor axis SMIA_3sig in arcseconds, plus Theta, the orientation of the major axis in degrees. The ellipse can be narrow in one sky direction and wide in another. Those axes describe uncertainty in where a target is calculated to appear, not the planet's apparent diameter or its motion across the sky. Consider an editorial ephemeris row with semi-major axis 6 arcseconds, semi-minor axis 2, and Theta 30 degrees under the manual's orientation convention. The long axis is three times the short one. For a planar ellipse its area is pi times the two semi-axes, about 37.7 square arcseconds. A circular uncertainty label of 6 arcseconds would erase both the anisotropy and the orientation. Keep the target, observer, UTC time, and source solution with all three fields; changing the observing site can change the projected geometry. If a proposed tight aspect depends on a target whose formal position uncertainty is material to the claimed orb, report that limitation beside the timing claim. Match the observation time to any proxy-price timestamp on the same chart. The error ellipse does not predict a market reaction.
Try it
A synthetic Horizons quantity-37 row reports SMAA_3sig = 6 arcseconds, SMIA_3sig = 2 arcseconds, and Theta = 30 degrees. Compute the long-to-short axis ratio and approximate ellipse area. What does Theta identify?
Answer
The semi-axis ratio is 6/2 = 3:1. The planar area is pi × 6 × 2 = 12pi ≈ 37.7 square arcseconds. Theta identifies the orientation of the major axis in the observer’s plane of sky under the manual’s stated convention, not a zodiac longitude.
Limits
These are formal projected position uncertainties from the chosen orbit solution and observer, not guaranteed bounds or a measure of market direction. The planar area calculation is a synthetic worksheet. A well-measured major planet may have far smaller uncertainty than a poorly observed small body.
